Chelsey's Storyboard

The first shot I watched on Chelsey's storyboard was a choker shot on her cat. The choker shot got really close to its face, and you could definitely tell it wasn't amused. As the video was so close, it added a bit of drama, and really allowed me to focus on the cat's facial expression.  It was a great way to capture the cat's moodiness.

Chelsey's next shot was a two shot on her bed with her cat. The two shot depicted their conversation  and it was a great insight on their relationship. As the article mentioned, the two shot definitely made the interaction feel intimate to the viewer. I really liked this shot. It made me smile.

Lastly, the long shot of her bedroom gave me a great feel of the space. It looks comfortable, clean, and like a great place to unwind! This shot was helpful in understanding Chelsey, through her space and the way she filmed it. I would not say that this evoked any particular emotions in me, but it definitely gave me an insight on Chelsey and her personality.

Emily's Storyboard

I loved the eye level shot of your dog as he stared at you in and the camera. You could really see the curiosity and confusion in his eyes through the angle you chose. Although the articles mentioned that this angle was fairly neutral, it gave viewers an unusual perspective. We are so used to standing above our pets, that sometimes seeing them eye to eye is actually quite interesting.

The extreme close up of the dog really brought out the beautiful light brown in his eyes. It was a pleasure to look at, although it could've been slightly less shaky. It had a bit of a dramatic effect, as it was so close to the eye.

The last shot, my favorite, was of the dog's point of view. Much like the eye level shot, this Point of View angle was a great option, especially for a dog. The camera angle provided a unique and slightly humorous picture of the world from the dog's eye, with his paws at the bottom of the screen. Although the video was shaky, it was funny to see the little paws, as if I were the dog.
